Golf *
Two of Charleston's many fine golf courses are located right on Seabrook,
and several others are just a short ride off the island. ResortQuest,
formerly Great Beach Vacations has a full-time Golf Coordinator who
is linked by computer to 18 of the top courses in the Charleston area.
We offer customized golf packages including your choice of courses
and accommodations. We also have a fulltime trip planning concierge
service and Air Desk offer discounted fares.
Ocean
Winds designed by Willard Byrd, takes you to the Atlantic
Ocean and, with its swirling breezes and plentiful sand dunes, provides
a challenging test of golf. Features tight fairways, generous greens,
sun drenched dunes, and salt marshes. Ocean Winds offers a refreshing
pace of play and superb playing conditions.
Crooked
Oaks designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., offers his classic
rolling fairways and guarded greens and weaves through centuries old
live oaks and majestic pines. Crooked Oaks is the only course the
Charleston area that offers bentgrass greens. Crooked Oaks offers
a refreshing pace of play and superb playing conditions.
Tennis*
Seabrook is consistently ranked among the top 50 tennis resorts in
the United States. The Racquet Club offers 13 composition courts,
lessons for all ages and skill levels, a fine pro shop and a highly-skilled
staff of professionals. Seabrook Island's Oceanfront Beach
Club and Pool Complex is ideal for family vacationers. Beach
Club
This oceanfront pool, dining, and recreation complex features a
junior Olympic size lap pool, wading pool, family size pool along
with aquatic activities like: Swimming lessons, water aerobics,
water basketball and volleyball, daily poolside activities and pool
towel service.
Horseback Riding
Seabrook is the only resort in the Charleston area that has its
own Equestrian Center. Lessons and beach and trail rides are available,
and a friendly staff can assist riders of all skill levels. Reservations
must be made at least two weeks in advance.
Watersports
Bohicket Marina, located just outside Seabrook's security gate,
is the center for fishing, boating, nature tours and other water-based
activities:
Deep Sea Fishing - Head off shore in search of
blue marlin, sailfish, white marlin, tuna, wahoo, dolphin, baracuda
and amberjack. Half and full-day charters are available.
Inshore Fishing - Sheltered coastal bays, inlets,
creeks and rivers can yield flounder, trout, bass and tarpon. The
marshes beyond the island are good for shrimping and crabbing.
Boat Rentals - Boats for sailing, fishing, crabbing,
nature tours or family sightseeing are available for rent. Other
Charleston area watersports include water-skiing, wake boarding,
jet-skiing and dolphin watching.
Kayaking & Canoeing - The perfect way to explore
the marshes and rivers surrounding the island. Rentals and nature
tours are available.
Parasailing - Perfect for a bird's-eye view of
the island.
The marina also features a variety of fine restaurants, shops and
services.
Biking
The island's flat terrain and wide beaches provide the perfect place
for biking. Take a ride on the beach or along paved trails and quiet
back roads. Bike rentals are available through ResortQuest, formerly
Great Beach Vacations, and include pick-up and delivery. Only ResortQuest,
formerly Great Beach Vacations, guests at Seabrook enjoy free access
to Seabrook's Oceanfront Fitness Center.
Fitness Center
The Fitness Center features treadmills, cycle trainers, stair climbers,
Cybex modular strength stations, an Olympic bench press and Olympic
free weights to work every major muscle group along with televisions,
music and spectacular Atlantic Ocean views.
Recreation Center
The Recreation Center is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Activities include: Water aerobics, Lap swim, Poolside activities,
Kid’s club activities, and teen socials. Play pool and ping-pong,
video games, air hockey, foosball and more.
Children's Activities*
Seabrook offers a variety of special recreation programs for children,
teens and families.
